Conventional liposuction creates significant trauma to the tissue and often has a prolonged recovery period. Our cutting-edge liposuction technology enables us to break-up the fat with either laser energy (as used with SmartLipoTM)or acoustic energy (as used with Lipo-Vibe). After the fat has been emulsified, it is then easily removed with suction.
Pioneered in Europe, SmartLipoTM is the first laser-assisted liposuction procedure. SmartLipoTM was approved by the FDA for use in the US in 2006. SmartLipoTM uses laser technology to melt and liquefy the fat within the fat cells. Additionally, the laser stimulates collagen synthesis which has a delayed benefit of tightening loose skin. SmartLipoTM is most effective for small areas of fat and areas requiring skin tightening such as the neck and inner thighs.
Custom Acoustic Liposuction, referred to as Lipo-Vibe, is the newest FDA approved liposuction technology in the US. Lipo-Vibe is unique in that it utilizes air pressure to generate 3-dimensional acoustic (sound) energy. This 3-D triple movement of vibration, rotation, and reciprocation enables Lipo-Vibe to more effectively remove deep fat as well as the superficial fat to create "high-definition" sculpting. Lipo-Vibe is very effective in removing larger amounts of fat (such as in the abdomen) and fibrous areas (such as in the back and flanks).
Unlike other liposuction equipment that utilize acoustic energy (such as the Ultrasound Liposuction), the cannulas of the Lipo-Vibe stay cool, thereby eliminating the risk of thermal injury.
